Path with Art Exhibition Posters

These print poster designs were created to promote Path with Art’s quarterly art exhibitions and special showcases. Featuring works created over the previous quarter by participants in Path with Art’s programming, these galleries highlighted a range of visual art and multimedia pieces.

While adhering to Path with Art’s overarching brand guidelines (including colors, fonts, and photo treatments), I also embraced some creative freedom, making each poster unique and reflective of its respective event.

Displayed in businesses and venues all over Seattle, these posters reached hundreds of thousands of viewers across the city. I also translated each design into a suite of marketing collateral, including email headers, social media posts, web banners, and digital signage displayed across the Seattle Center campus.

Merchandise: “Art is the Remedy” tote bags

Featuring Path with Art’s tagline, “Art is the Remedy,” these tote bags refreshed the organization’s evergreen merchandise to reflect its current brand direction. I utilized graphic typography consistent with PwA’s suite of updated brand assets, using high-contrast colors to evoke a strong visual message.

artREMEDY Arts & Health training module

Tasked with creating a presentation template for Path with Art’s arts & health trainings, I used Google Slides to design a visually engaging, easy-to-follow deck. Aimed at educating audiences in the overlap between arts and health spaces, artREMEDY disseminates multidisciplinary knowledge gleaned over years of practical application into accessible modules. This project gave me a golden opportunity to merge my skills and interests across design, communication, and mental health psychology.

Diaspora album design

Giving voice to the experiences of the Asian American diaspora, jazz accordionist Josh Hou weaves together original and traditional pieces on Diaspora, Hou’s album released in late 2024. I worked with Josh to design and illustrate a wrap-around album cover evoking the feel of Chinese shui-mo hua ink-wash painting using modern techniques.

Giving equal weight to both Chinese and English titles and typography proved to be the primary challenge of the design process. Working with Josh, a native Chinese speaker, we arrived at design decisions that struck the right balance between the two. As a member of the Taiwanese American diaspora, I was personally honored to take on this project and enriched by the experience.
